What is Peptira peptides GHRP-6?

Peptira peptides GHRP-6 is growth hormone releasing peptide 6, a six-amino-acid peptide (His-D-Trp-Ala-Trp-D-Phe-Lys-NH2) developed by Cyril Bowers in the 1980s. It was one of the first synthetic peptides shown to release growth hormone, years before the ghrelin receptor it acts on was identified.

How GHRP-6 works

GHRP-6 binds the growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHS-R1a), the same receptor ghrelin uses. That triggers GH release from the pituitary and, through the hypothalamus, a strong rise in appetite. That appetite effect is why GHRP-6 is still a standard tool in feeding research.

Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water. A 5mg vial with 2mL gives 2.5mg/mL. Keep sealed vials frozen, mixed vials in the fridge at 2 to 8°C, and use a mixed vial within about four weeks.
