GHK-Cu capsules give you pre-measured capsules, each with 2mg GHK-Cu, so there’s no powder to reconstitute and nothing to weigh.

GHK-Cu capsules contents

  • GHK-Cu: 2mg per capsule, 120mg per bottle

The bottle holds 60 capsules. Multiply the per-capsule amount by 60 and you have the total for the bottle, which helps when you’re working out how many bottles a study needs.

About GHK-Cu

GHK-Cu is the tripeptide glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine bound to a copper(II) ion. Loren Pickart first isolated GHK from human plasma in 1973, and levels in plasma are reported to fall with age.

It binds copper tightly and is studied for wound healing, collagen production and skin repair. It’s also one of the most common actives in copper peptide skin care.

GHK binds copper tightly and can deliver it to cells. Copper is a cofactor for lysyl oxidase, the enzyme that cross-links collagen and elastin, and for antioxidant enzymes.

In cell and animal studies GHK-Cu increased collagen and glycosaminoglycan production, attracted repair cells to wounds, and changed the activity of many genes involved in tissue remodeling.

Working with GHK-Cu capsules

GHK-Cu is a tripeptide, and short peptides like it are partly broken down in the gut, so oral GHK-Cu is its own research question, separate from the topical and injected work.

Capsules suit studies built around oral delivery. If your protocol was written for injected material, compare like with like, because absorption by mouth can be very different.

GHK-Cu research

Maquart and colleagues reported in 1988 that GHK-Cu stimulated collagen synthesis in cultured fibroblasts, and later rat wound-chamber studies found more collagen and glycosaminoglycan buildup.

Gene expression work by Pickart and colleagues suggests GHK can shift the activity of a large number of human genes, many tied to tissue repair and the antioxidant response.

How many bottles of GHK-Cu capsules?

Work out the total before you order. Count the arms in your study, the number of time points in each and the capsules each time point uses, then divide by 60. Rounding up by one bottle covers a repeat run or a spoiled sample.

Keep capsules from the same batch within one study if you can. The batch number is on the label, and matching it across arms removes one variable from your results.

Capsules or vials?

The big advantage of capsules is that the measuring is already done. Every capsule carries the same amount, so there’s no reconstitution math, no syringe and no mixed solution with a use-by date.

If your protocol calls for a reconstituted solution instead, the same compound comes as GHK-Cu 50mg and GHK-Cu 100mg in freeze-dried form. Many labs keep both on hand and run the formats as separate arms.

GHK-Cu capsules quality and handling

Every GHK-Cu capsules bottle carries a printed label with the compound name and amount, so you always know what you’re holding. If your lab needs batch paperwork for its records, contact Peptira support before you order and ask what’s available for the current batch.

Many labs run their own identity check when a new batch arrives. For peptides, purity is usually measured by HPLC, which separates a sample into its parts and reports the main compound as a share of the total. Mass spectrometry is often run alongside it to confirm the molecular weight.

Write the order date and the bottle details into your lab notes. If a result looks odd later, you can tie it back to the exact material you used.

Storing GHK-Cu capsules

Store GHK-Cu capsules sealed, in a cool, dry place out of direct light. A fridge is fine if you keep the lid tight so no condensation gets in. Put the lid back on straight after you take capsules out.
