GHK-Cu 100mg is a 100mg vial of GHK-Cu, a copper-binding tripeptide, supplied as freeze-dried powder. It’s sold for laboratory research only.

About GHK-Cu

GHK-Cu is the tripeptide glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine bound to a copper(II) ion. Loren Pickart first isolated GHK from human plasma in 1973, and levels in plasma are reported to fall with age.

It binds copper tightly and is studied for wound healing, collagen production and skin repair. It’s also one of the most common actives in copper peptide skin care.

How GHK-Cu works

GHK binds copper tightly and can deliver it to cells. Copper is a cofactor for lysyl oxidase, the enzyme that cross-links collagen and elastin, and for antioxidant enzymes.

In cell and animal studies GHK-Cu increased collagen and glycosaminoglycan production, attracted repair cells to wounds, and changed the activity of many genes involved in tissue remodeling.

What the research says about GHK-Cu

Maquart and colleagues reported in 1988 that GHK-Cu stimulated collagen synthesis in cultured fibroblasts, and later rat wound-chamber studies found more collagen and glycosaminoglycan buildup.

Gene expression work by Pickart and colleagues suggests GHK can shift the activity of a large number of human genes, many tied to tissue repair and the antioxidant response.

GHK-Cu compared with similar compounds

Here’s how GHK-Cu 100mg fits among related compounds. GHK-Cu is the copper-binding tripeptide studied for collagen and skin repair. By comparison:

  • BPC-157 is the 15-amino-acid repair peptide with the largest body of rodent research
  • TB-500 is the 43-amino-acid actin-binding protein, studied for cell movement and wound repair
  • KPV is a three-amino-acid alpha-MSH fragment studied for calming inflammation
  • ARA-290 is an 11-amino-acid peptide from erythropoietin that protects tissue without raising red cells

These are the main peptides in repair research. Each covers a different step, from blood vessel growth and cell movement to calming inflammation and rebuilding the skin matrix. See them all on our healing and recovery peptides page.

GHK-Cu 100mg quality and handling

The vial label shows the compound and the amount. For anything your lab needs on file beyond that, email Peptira support with the product name before you place the order.

Many labs run their own identity check when a new batch arrives. For peptides, purity is usually measured by HPLC, which separates a sample into its parts and reports the main compound as a share of the total. Mass spectrometry is often run alongside it to confirm the molecular weight.

If you run a long study, try to order everything you need at once and log it when it arrives. It removes one variable from your results.

Reconstituting GHK-Cu 100mg

Concentration is the amount in the vial divided by the volume of water you add. With 100mg of powder in this vial:

  • 2mL of bacteriostatic water gives 50mg/mL
  • 3mL of bacteriostatic water gives 33.33mg/mL
  • 5mL of bacteriostatic water gives 20mg/mL

Go with whichever number is easiest to work with in your protocol, and label the vial with the concentration and the date you mixed it.

Most labs use sterile bacteriostatic water. We stock bacteriostatic water in 3mL, 10mL and 30mL sizes. Warm the sealed vial to room temperature, add the water slowly along the glass wall and swirl gently until it’s clear. Never shake it.

GHK-Cu 100mg storage and shelf life

Store sealed vials of GHK-Cu 100mg in the freezer at -20°C, out of direct light. Mixed solution goes in the fridge at 2 to 8°C and should be used within about 28 days.

Leave sealed vials sealed until you need them. Dry powder in a closed vial lasts far longer than solution, so there’s no reason to mix more than one at a time.

GHK-Cu sizes compared

  • GHK-Cu 50mg: $39.00, about $0.78 per mg
  • GHK-Cu 100mg (this page): $59.00, about $0.59 per mg

GHK-Cu 100mg is one of the larger sizes, and bigger vials usually cost less per milligram. It suits longer studies where you’d otherwise reorder.
