GHK-Cu 50mg is a 50mg vial of GHK-Cu, a copper-binding tripeptide, supplied as freeze-dried powder. It’s sold for laboratory research only.
GHK-Cu at a glance
GHK-Cu is the tripeptide glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine bound to a copper(II) ion. Loren Pickart first isolated GHK from human plasma in 1973, and levels in plasma are reported to fall with age.
It binds copper tightly and is studied for wound healing, collagen production and skin repair. It’s also one of the most common actives in copper peptide skin care.
GHK-Cu mechanism of action
GHK binds copper tightly and can deliver it to cells. Copper is a cofactor for lysyl oxidase, the enzyme that cross-links collagen and elastin, and for antioxidant enzymes.
In cell and animal studies GHK-Cu increased collagen and glycosaminoglycan production, attracted repair cells to wounds, and changed the activity of many genes involved in tissue remodeling.

Published GHK-Cu studies
Maquart and colleagues reported in 1988 that GHK-Cu stimulated collagen synthesis in cultured fibroblasts, and later rat wound-chamber studies found more collagen and glycosaminoglycan buildup.
Gene expression work by Pickart and colleagues suggests GHK can shift the activity of a large number of human genes, many tied to tissue repair and the antioxidant response.
The primary literature is on PubMed, run by the US National Library of Medicine. Here’s a search for GHK-Cu studies to start from.
GHK-Cu compared with similar compounds
GHK-Cu 50mg is easier to place once you see it next to the compounds it’s usually compared with. GHK-Cu is the copper-binding tripeptide studied for collagen and skin repair. The others:
- BPC-157 is the 15-amino-acid repair peptide with the largest body of rodent research
- TB-500 is the 43-amino-acid actin-binding protein, studied for cell movement and wound repair
- KPV is a three-amino-acid alpha-MSH fragment studied for calming inflammation
- ARA-290 is an 11-amino-acid peptide from erythropoietin that protects tissue without raising red cells
These are the main peptides in repair research. Each covers a different step, from blood vessel growth and cell movement to calming inflammation and rebuilding the skin matrix. See them all on our healing and recovery peptides page.
Other ways to buy GHK-Cu
GHK-Cu also comes in these products, in case a different format suits your study better:

- KLOW Blend 80mg (GHK-Cu, BPC-157, TB-500, KPV) (blend vial, $149.00)

Checking your GHK-Cu 50mg
Every GHK-Cu 50mg vial carries a printed label with the compound name and amount, so you always know what you’re holding. If your lab needs batch paperwork for its records, contact Peptira support before you order and ask what’s available for the current batch.
Labs that check material in-house normally confirm identity with mass spectrometry, which checks the molecular weight, and measure purity with HPLC, which separates the main compound from anything else in the sample.
If you run a long study, try to order everything you need at once and log it when it arrives. It removes one variable from your results.
How to reconstitute GHK-Cu 50mg
Concentration is the amount in the vial divided by the volume of water you add. With 50mg of powder in this vial:
- 2mL of bacteriostatic water gives 25mg/mL
- 3mL of bacteriostatic water gives 16.67mg/mL
- 5mL of bacteriostatic water gives 10mg/mL
Pick the volume that keeps your own calculations simple, then write the concentration and the mixing date on the label.
Use sterile bacteriostatic water, like our bacteriostatic water. Let the vial reach room temperature, run the water slowly down the inside of the glass, then roll the vial gently until the powder dissolves. Don’t shake it. Shaking can shear peptide chains.
GHK-Cu 50mg storage and shelf life
The dry powder keeps best cold and dark. A freezer at -20°C is right for long-term storage. After reconstitution, store it in the fridge at 2 to 8°C and finish it within roughly four weeks.
Running several vials at once? Our 10 vial kit case holds up to ten vials upright in separate wells under a clear lid, which keeps a fridge shelf tidy and the labels easy to read.
GHK-Cu sizes compared
- GHK-Cu 50mg (this page): $39.00, about $0.78 per mg
- GHK-Cu 100mg: $59.00, about $0.59 per mg
GHK-Cu 50mg is the entry size, handy when you only need a little or want to try GHK-Cu before committing to a bigger vial.
