Le Roux and colleagues reported phase 2 weight loss data in The Lancet Diabetes & Endocrinology in 2024. Average weight loss reached about 15% over 46 weeks at the top dose, and close to 19% among people who completed treatment on it.

A separate phase 2 trial in MASH, published in the New England Journal of Medicine in 2024, reported improvement in liver inflammation and fat compared with placebo.
